NORWALK, CT – April 9, 2026 – HomeServe announced today the recipients of its second annual Apprentice and Training Grant Program, continuing the company’s commitment to strengthening the skilled trades workforce and supporting the next generation of trade professionals across North America.

Building on the success of the inaugural program launched in 2025, HomeServe again awarded grants to 20 contractor companies within its network to support apprentice training and employee upskilling initiatives. The program is part of HomeServe’s broader effort to address ongoing workforce shortages in the plumbing, HVAC, electrical and other essential home services trades.

“At HomeServe, we see firsthand how critical skilled trades professionals are to our business and to the communities we serve,” said Tom Rusin, CEO of HomeServe. “After seeing the impact of this program in its first year, we are proud to continue investing in contractor training programs that help grow, retain and develop skilled workers.”

Recipients were selected through a competitive application process that evaluated proposed training initiatives, anticipated impact on workforce development and long-term benefits for employees and apprentices. Grant funding will be used to expand hands-on training, offset education costs, improve onboarding programs and create additional pathways into the skilled trades.

The Grant Program is a key component of HomeServe’s skilled trades initiative, which focuses on promoting sustainable careers, improving access to training and ensuring contractor partners are equipped to meet rising demand for home services. HomeServe currently partners with nearly 3,000 vetted local contractors nationwide.
